“SIMBIOSI” è una mostra di vasi di vetro molto particolari.
I vetri infatti sono intrecciati con i fiori.
Lavoro su questo tema da tempo, con il C.I.R.V.A. di Marsiglia, laboratorio dello Stato Francese che svolge ricerche su nuove applicazioni del vetro nell’arte e nel design.
Il tema dell’intreccio mi interessa molto, perché è una tecnologia debole e incerta, dove le diverse parti delle strutture collaborano, pur restando separate.
Il vetro, così fragile e delicato, sembra essere il materiale meno adatto per essere intrecciato: salvo che con i fiori.
Il vetro intrecciato con i fiori crea infatti una condizione di simbiosi tra materiali e nature diverse. Simbiosi che mi sembra importante, perché è proprio superando i confini tra logiche diverse e tra chimiche diverse, che è possibile aprire nuove condizioni di libertà nell’ambiente.
E nel cervello.
“Symbiosis” is an exhibition of glass vases very special.
The glasses are in fact intertwined with flowers.
I work on this issue since long time, with the CIRVA Marseille, the French state laboratory that carries out research on new applications of glass in architecture and design.
The theme of the plot I’m very interested, because technology is weak and uncertain, where the different parts of the structures work together, whilst remaining separated.
The glass, so fragile and delicate, the material seems to be less suitable to be woven: except that with flowers.
The glass woven with flowers in fact creates a condition of symbiosis between different materials and natures. This symbiosis seems important to me, because it is beyond the boundaries between different logical and between different chemical, that we can get new conditions of freedom.
Also in the brain.
